Placing orders.

Upon receiving your request, we utilize the mobile messaging app KakaoTalk to place orders. Visiting vendors in person for every order would be impractical. We have established business relationships and created a KakaoTalk Chatroom with almost all major vendors in Dongdaemun Wholesale Market. This enables us to promptly place orders online as soon as we receive requests from overseas buyers. The use of this mobile messaging app has significantly streamlined our business process, increased productivity, and ultimately led to a drastic reduction in both time and labor cost.

Payment

Since Dongdaemun vendors do not accept credit cards, payment must be in cash or through wire transfer before the products can be obtained. This can pose a challenge for foreigners conducting business with Dongdaemun vendors. In our case, our customers transfer the money to our account, and we make the payment for the products on their behalf before obtaining them.

Pick-up service

After placing your order, you will need to pick up the purchased items once they become available. Typically, there is a waiting period of 2 to 3 days. However, if the items are out of stock, the waiting period may extend to 7 to 10 days. One of our strengths is the strategic location of our office. It is conveniently situated within a 10-minute radius of nearly all Dongdaemun Wholesale markets. This proximity enables us to retrieve the purchased items safely and securely in a timely manner.

Our Inspection Service

This service is carried out upon your request and may incur additional charges. (1) Inspecting garments We usually take the following inspecting steps for the received items: - Visual inspection for loose threads, uneven stitching, fabric discoloration, damages, stains, and marks. - Measurement check for length, width, and size. - Functionality assessment for zippers, buttons, snaps, or other fastening mechanisms. (2) Affixing main labels or care labels to the garments (3) Packaging the garments in poly bags

Shipping

A major portion of our buyers' products are shipped via DHL. Our substantial business volume enables us to secure discounted prices from DHL, leading to reduced shipping costs for our customers. However, we recognize that some buyers may prefer a more cost-effective service like EMS, a reputable Korean courier service provider. Rest assured, when it comes to selecting the courier for your products, we will accommodate your preference.

1. Service charge of 10% is on higher side, can we negotiate on this?

Regarding our service charge, we believe that a 10% is a highly competitive price, when considering the quality of service, we provide. While you may come across cheaper options, it is highly likely that the quality of service will not meet the international standards expected by your esteemed company. This could ultimately lead to additional costs, making them more expensive in the long run compared to our 10% service charge.
We have been in this industry for over two decades and, therefore, have been able to develop a systematic operating process like our current service. That is why we can provide our services at a 10% charge while still delivering quick, reliable, and accountable service.
However, we may talk about this matter with open minded perspectives when we have a chance to meet face to face.
2. Can we have a one to one meeting with any one of your team on 4th July?

We would be more than happy to meet you in person and accompany you throughout your shopping experience at Dongdaemun Market. When it comes to purchasing garments, we recommend visiting at least three markets: aPM Place, TheOT, and Chungphyunghwa Market, which are really popular among foreign buyers. If you are interested in bags and shoes, Dongdaemun offers excellent wholesale markets for these products. While the garment, shoe, and bag markets are concentrated in the Dongdaemun area, the accessory market is located in Namdaemun, which can be reached within 20 minutes by subway from Dongdaemun. The shopping duration can vary depending on each buyer’s plan and budget. However, based on the experience of our customers from Australia and Malaysia, it usually takes them around three days to explore two garment markets, with an estimated expenditure of USD 10,000 to 15,000.
3. Can the product be handed over to my shopping agent instead your company shipping to us?

Yes, we can.
4. Instead of charging on particular items for inspection can we work on lump sum % basis?

Yes, we can. Currently, we are offering our inspection service to some of our existing customers, with a total fee of 20% on our comprehensive service (including a basic commission of 10% and an inspection service charge of 10% on a lump sum basis.)
5. If a defected product is identified from your end what is the due diligence followed?

This is a very good question as it highlights our comparative advantage over other agents. While there are many other inspection companies available, their typical approach involves merely identifying defects in garments and marking them before returning the items to vendors. This approach does little to actually solve the problems. In contrast, our team has experienced garment inspection professionals who can repair as many defects as possible on the spot. However, in cases where our team is unable to address the defects, we return the garments to the vendors and exchange them for new ones without any defects. Our goal is to ensure that you can offer products to your valuable consumers that are free from any defects.
6. Is there any minimum order quantity?

The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 2 pieces per design, and you can mix the colors. For example, you have the option to purchase one piece in black and another in red. In the case of OEM production, the MOQ is set at 80 to 100 pieces. As we have our own manufacturing facility, we are capable of carrying out OEM production.
7. What is the percentage of Chinese sourced products in the market?

We don’t have concrete statistics, but our estimation suggests that over 50% of the products in Dongdaemun are sourced from China. However, the key point to note is that Dongdaemun vendors design their own products and select the fabrics. Many of them collaborate with Chinese partners and operate factories in China. This allows them to ensure good product quality and reduce labor costs at the same time. This is one of the reasons why Dongdaemun products are popular among overseas garment retailers. Of course, you can also find many Dongdaemun vendors who produce garments here in Korea with excellent quality at highly competitive prices. Overall, it can be said that foreign buyers are satisfied with Dongdaemun products, regardless of where the garments are manufactured in Korea or China.
8. You can assist us in fashion accessories as well?

Yes, our role as a buying agent is not limited to purchasing clothes. Our handling items include shoes, bags, hats, belts and accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and more. One of our customers is a shoe retailer in Japan who purchases shoes almost every day from shoe market here in Dongdaemun.
